Field & Fire — Bucks County, PA

Some nights are
remembered
by the fire.

Vjollca "VJ" Morris learned to cook the way her grandmother did in an Albanian village — not as a technique, but as an act of devotion. Every table she sets is different, because every gathering of strangers becomes, by the last course, something else entirely.

From an Albanian hearth
to the Food Network.

Before there was a name for what she does, there was only the fire — bread rising in a wood-fired oven, lamb turning slow over coals in her grandmother's kitchen in Albania, hours that could not be hurried. She never set out to make a career of it. But the love of food followed her to California, where she trained formally and learned the technique, the language, and the discipline behind what had once been instinct.

"Cooking from my heart, hosting with love — that's the whole point of the fire."

That training carried her into rooms far from any village kitchen — years spent on recipe development, styling, and culinary production for the Food Network and The Rachael Ray Show. But Field & Fire began somewhere else entirely: a vivid dream, and a pull toward the local farms of Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Its first dinner — seasonal ingredients, open flame, a table full of near-strangers — set the tone for every one that's followed.

Four ways to be at her table.

01

Ticketed Dinners

A handful of nights a year, a fire built for strangers who won't stay strangers for long — a seasonal menu, cooked entirely outdoors, for a table that only seats so many.

02

Private Chef Sessions

VJ arrives after your grocery run and cooks with what's already in your kitchen — no menu written in advance, just days of meals conjured from what you brought home.

03

Private Events Bespoke

Hosted entirely around what you need — rehearsal dinners, celebrations, and gatherings, with a menu and format built for your guest count and occasion.

04

Corporate & Offsites Bespoke

Hosted entirely around what you need — live-fire dinners for teams and clients, scaled and staffed for the size of the group.

The next table.

Some evenings keep their location secret until the day itself. Others are shared in advance — it depends on the dinner.

An evening of live fire beneath the trees, where the flavors of the Balkans and Persia share a single pantry. One long table, one seating, and the light going gold through the branches while we eat.

Chef VJ cooks over open flame the way she was taught to — generously, and always slightly beyond what anyone expected. A menu will be published closer to the date. Consider it an outline; the best dishes tend to arrive late.

Come hungry, stay late. Bring a bottle you love.

A few things worth knowing.

Do you accommodate dietary restrictions or allergies?
There's no formal intake yet — for now, just reply to your confirmation email or mention it in your inquiry, and VJ will do her best to work around it.
What happens if the weather's bad?
Dinners go on rain or shine. It's live fire — a little weather has never been a reason to stop.
Is it BYOB?
Yes — bring what you love to drink.
When will I find out the location?
It depends on the dinner — some locations are shared ahead of time, others stay a secret until the day of. Either way, you'll receive it directly once it's set.

Let's set a table.

For dinner reservations, private chef sessions, or events — tell VJ a little about what you have in mind, and she'll write back to you herself.

Know someone who belongs at this table?

Send them the fire — most of VJ's guests arrive because a friend told them.
